Genre Workshops with Guest Improv instructor : Chazz Kaskes. Learn to play genre improv with confidence!

Weekend Two, while attendance at the first weekend is not mandatory, this workshop will build on many of the skills learned in the first workshop. Classes during this weekend will bring a spotlight to one or two genres chosen by the students. The afternoon student  performances will be in this chosen genre creating an.opportunity to go through the steps your team might take to choose a genre to make into a show. Join us for this exciting deep dive into genre work.  . This is a 2 day workshop starting on Saturday Jan 17, and continuing on Sunday Jan 18. Each day will cover 1-2 genres, with a student production from 4-5 each day  to put into practice the things you have learned.  You should have some improv experience. This is appropriate for intermediate to advanced students.
Saturday  workshop hours: 10:30 – 12:30 (1/2 hour  break for lunch)  1:30 pm – 4 pm  followed at  4  pm – 5 pm,  in house student show in the theater.

Sunday   workshop hours: 10:30 – 12:30. break for lunch 1:30  pm – 4 pm.  from 4 pm – 5 pm, in house student show in the theater.

Includes a non transferable student ticket for each show on Jan 9, and Jan 10th 7:30 pm at the Black Box Theater
