SUMMARY:Intro/ Refresher to Longform Musical Improv
DESCRIPTION:Musical Improv Mondays starting August  18\, 25th \, Maybe Sept 1st\, definitely the 8th\, 15th\, and 22nd \nIntroduction / refresher  to the joy of creating a  Longform Broadway Style improvised musical . We will be learning  how to create rhyming\, and non rhyming lyrics\, as well as  Song Structure\, Rhythm\, and Meter. Then\, we will take all our new found musical skills and start building an entire musical\, from the ground up. The focus of this class is having fun\, and learning to have confidence in your inner song. No experience necessary though some improv helpful! Then a tour through the Musical Story spine with:  the Want Song\, the Location Song\, and the Villain/ Protagonist Duet\, or Villain solo song\, the Rumble song\, the Resolution\, and the breathtaking  Grand Finale!  \nTaught by Whidbey Improv\, somewhere in Langley…  $20 suggested donation at the door or pay what you can \nemail Carol at info(at)whidbeyimprov.org for more information !

SUMMARY:Broadway Style  Musical Improv Run Through
DESCRIPTION:Are you  musical improv  curious? or a longtime pro? Are you tone deaf or classically trained? Are you excited and/or terrified (its normal to be both!) ? Congrats\, this musical improv jam is for YOU. This is a training wheels on\, improvised musical\, where you  sing the songs. It doesn’t hurt to have some experience\, but really\, none is necessary. Come have a LOT of fun\,  and meet some awesome people too. From 8 – 9 pm .  Doors may not open until just before 8 pm\, but there will be a sign up sheet outside the door… \nYou can just watch this as a show\, or\, you can sign up to sing\, your choice\, but. I know what I would do! \n$10 at the door\, $11.25 on line ( includes tax + credit card fee…)
